Anger
One of the other 2nd graders gave a note to one of my 2nd graders that said, "Do you want to have sex with me?" Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I was so upset when I found that out. I'm just going to take all of my students home and put them in a box and not take them out until they are back in my classroom. The world is too messed up out there and there is so much that I don't understand about their lives. It makes me want to be a positive influence in their lives that much more.

Oh my goodness. 2nd grade? See, Kimberly, you don't have to travel to Africa to help people; you gather the little children close to you right there in your classroom.
My heart breaks for those children who passed that note. I wonder where they are getting those ideas and influences? Family, friends, TV, movies? It must be harder and harder to shield children these days.
