Open House

After 5 pricks and strands of dead deadly viruses floating around my body, I feel like I am really going to Africa. The travel doctor at Kaiser was really nice and helpful and took a long half-hour with me talking to me about all my needs for immunizations (which really aren't that many in S.Africa).

Open House was fun to put together. I am so proud of all the work my kids have done this year. It was fun watching the kids excitedly showing their parents all their stuff. The superintendent came by classroom. Luckily I knew what he looked like. I was a little disappointed that only 12 of my kids came and that my principal didn't swing by. Not that these two things matter that much, but they are connected to bigger problems at my school. But it was a great evening and here are some pictures of my lovely classroom:
